Before you schedule your trade show, be sure you’ve checked, double-checked, and triple-checked the schedules for any and all other big exhibits, ball games, shows, displays, etc in the area, because if you accidentally schedule your show at the same time something else is going on, your attendance will be greatly reduced. Not only that: your show will be forever known, locally, as the show that scheduled itself at the same time as the community-wide flea market, and you really don’t want that kind of association!
Pick a time when nothing else is going on! Then YOURS will be the only game in town.
This conflict and bad press can be avoided by several simple date checks.
It comes down to something like this: Don’t schedule your trade show on the same weekend as the state basketball tournament. Etc.
