Being Polite Can Lead To Big Profits!
Monday, April 11th, 2011The cure for high travel costs!
Monday, March 21st, 2011From minivan moms to multi-billion dollar companies everyone is feeling the pinch at the gas pump. As the cost of everything continues to go through the roof, for those that can afford to make it to trade shows in hopes of collecting new business any profit is almost ate up entirely by the cost of travel back and forth. While the average price per gallon of gas is a stunning $3.53 in the U.S. when compared to how much the rest of the world pays it appears things definitely aren’t as bad as they could be.
In a recent report from CNN on the high cost of fuel all over the world, it was found that the U.S. could have it a lot worse when talking transportation costs.
Average February Gas Prices Per Gallon
* Norway $9.28
*Italy $7.77
*Japan $6.30
*Canada $4.49
*Greece $8.45
With a decline in transportation costs not showing any signs of slacking off any time soon, we all need to find more creative ways to getting ourselves and our materials from point A to point B. For small business owners who regularly attend trade shows, this means looking for displays that are made of lighter weight materials and are cheaper to transport.
Tension Fabric Walls- If you think saving money means cutting back on the scale of the display, then think again. Tension Fabric Walls feature the same amazing custom graphics that so many have come to expect from Godfrey, without sacrificing scale. Made from ultra-lightweight materials and easily broken down in a matter of seconds, this display proves that saving money doesn’t mean accepting an inferior design.
Table Top Displays- Wouldn’t it be nice if you could find a way to give a professional presentation and once it’s all over with, just fold the entire display up as if it were that laptop you depend so much on? Well that is exactly what a table top display does! Available in a wide variety of designs with plenty of custom features to choose from, a table top display will literally make those travel costs associated with larger display vanish.
With transportation costs skyrocketing all around the globe, in order to maintain a profit the trade show vendor needs to find a way to put out a quality display that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get from place to place. Thankfully Godfrey has a wide variety of display that are easy on the eyes and light on the budget!
Bringing The NFL To Your Next Trade Show!
Friday, March 11th, 2011
After months of negotiating it was announced late this afternoon that NFL labor talks had broken down and a lockout was imminent. With the owners claiming they want to come to terms and the players stating that such issues as an 18 game season and better retirement benefits are just not something they are going to concede on, it looks as if the work stoppage may last all summer long. For fans this means that once the NFL draft scheduled for April 28-30 has passed, NFL will be a No Fun League until both sides agree to meet in the middle somewhere.
Now you may be asking yourself why you are reading about this on a website clearly devoted to trade show display design where we regularly preach about the limitless possibilities of a custom designed trade show exhibit from The Godfrey Group. The answer to this question is simple; people want to have a good time. After the day is over, the tie has been yanked off from around their necks, and the boss has left the building people simply want to kick back with their favorite sport. No sport is bigger in this country than pro football and with the coming season looking like a pipe dream, they are going to be looking for ways to enjoy the game however possible. This is where you step in with the help of one of our football toss trade show games!!
Guaranteed to not only be a crowd pleaser, but to also help all those desperate football fans get their minds off how much they miss the pros, each display will come featuring your company name and logo so by the time they have worn their arm out they will be sure to remember who was responsible for supplying all that fun!
A Recipe For A Winning Trade Show!
Friday, March 4th, 2011I’m not a huge fan of reality shows, but I must admit finding myself addicted to such cooking competitions as Top Chief, Chopped, and Iron Chief. There’s something about making the perfect meal that keeps me striving with every dinner to do better than the last. For the most part my love of cooking isn’t about the taste (though it’s no secret that all chiefs love to eat) but instead at least for me it’s all about the flavors. There’s something about the way basic ingredients have a way of coming together to create a unique dish. A dash of salt, a touch of thyme, pinch of dill….added at just the right time without forcing it; as the ingredients begin to come together they form something greater than the sum of their parts.
If you think about it a successful tradeshow is a lot like a one of a kind meal. Just as a cook must begin by pulling together the basics of the recipe such as garlic, flour, chicken; so too does an event planner as they prepare for what types of materials to take, the size and shape of the display they will need, what type of approach to take that will ensure they get people’s attention. A successful trade show isn’t put together overnight no more than a seven course meal is done within minutes. What designs will get you the most attention? Should you go with the custom designed fabric structure or will a kiosk suit your needs more?
If you are getting ready to hit the trade show circuit, maybe you’ve been asking yourself lately as to what ingredients you will need to get the job done? Thankfully Godfrey is here to help and we’ve got just what you need to cook up a successful tradeshow. With tons of designs to choose from and a design team eager to help, it’s time you took the next step in the process and let us help make your next event a success.
Don’t Miss A Sale! It’s Time To Make Your Next Trade Show Display Interactive!
Thursday, February 3rd, 2011Recently my family and I had the opportunity to visit the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, Al. The three story building which is tucked away among banks, brokerage firms, and other offices downtown, is one of the many hidden gems in the city. For my four year old it was a dream come true. Unlike other museums which encourage silence and strolling from one exhibit to the next, the McWane Center has only one rule and that’s nothing is off limits in terms of what you can touch, pull, push, or throw. The completely interactive museum is everything that you would expect from what is essentially a business trying to get people in the door. Like the McWane Science Center in order to grow and encourage consumers to spend their hard earned money, today’s business must put aside the old ways of simply describing what their product does and instead give them complete access to experience the item firsthand.
It used to be the case not too long ago that in order to convince consumers that a product would change their lives, all a company would need to do is invest in a pedestal, an information booth to hold a few brochures, and a good pitchman. Times have changed though and with them trade shows are no longer filled with well suited guys spreading the charm and instead feature full scale putt putt golf courses, interactive audio video displays, not to mention chances to win big with such guaranteed crowd pleasers such as cash closets or spin to win games. In order to win a potential customer over they need to be able to touch, taste, and test the product so they know that what they are looking at is the latest thing that they can’t live without. Consumers want a chance to get on Facebook or Twitter to find out what others have to say about your product. They need to Google the latest news and reviews before they dish out the cash.
If you are a small business owner or trade show vendor looking to make a stronger impression while increasing sales, then the time has come to give your customers what they want with a fully customized interactive trade show display from Godfrey featuring the hottest designs on the market today!
Steps To Building A Stress Free Trade Show Exhibit
Thursday, December 23rd, 2010
To say that shopping is stressful is like saying that popcorn is made from corn. It’s a no brainer that giving is a gift can be extremely frustrating. Whether it be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift to win over that special someone, a birthday gift for that person that has everything, or the dreaded Christmas Gift that will bring a tear to your girl’s eye, no matter what the situation spending that cash you worked so hard to get is definitely something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. This proves to be even more true when it comes time to buy a new trade show exhibit. That’s why today our gift to you is a list of ways to make your trade show display shopping experience a little less stressful.
Steps To Building A Stress Free Trade Show Exhibit
Have a budget- I listed this before knowing what you want simply because what you want and what you can afford are often completely different two different things. Think about how much you can afford to spend, how much in terms of sales a new display will add to your business, and try to figure out how what you might want fits in to what you can afford.
Have a plan- Once you have an idea of how much you can spend, figure out what you need. An easier way to do this may be to figure out what you don’t need. If you are a vendor that strictly visits indoor events, you clearly don’t need to be looking at outdoor tents and inflatables. Browse our trade show design gallery and see how your idea of what a trade show display should be compares to what is available.
Know how to execute the plan- After you have narrowed down what you are looking for, it’s time to figure out the best way to get the most out of your new display. What configuration works best? What sales approaches work well with the new display? How will you direct traffic in and around your new exhibit? Make sure you know what the layout of your design will look like long before you arrive at that convention center to setup shop for the weekend.
Godfrey’s New Designs: Out With The Old And In With The New!
Wednesday, December 8th, 2010Have you ever been in a situation where no matter how hard you tried, how much work you put into something, the long hours, sleepless nights, no matter what you did things just didn’t turn out the way you wanted them to. As a business owner one of the hardest problems you will face is deciding when something is simply a bad idea and no matter how much more time or money you pump into it, it’s still not going to be a success. It could be a new line of products that you once felt sure would catch fire and make you a millionaire. It might be a design that you felt confident would attract attention to your retail store. It may even be a type of sales pitch that you just know will help you land those big clients if only you could get the timing or language down. Eventually though sooner or later you must come to the realization that a new path must be taken in order to achieve your financial goals.
Godfrey wants to be that light in the storm that you can turn to for advice on how to make things better for your struggling company. What you’ve tried in the past, what the display will be used for, what type of portability is needed, what colors you prefer. The questions are endless and so is the commitment you will get by deciding to choose Godfrey.
