2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES)

logo The world’s largest consumer technology trade show, the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show, known in the industry as the CES, is being held this week in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center/Las Vegas Hilton and The Venetian. CES is such a large show that at least two venues are necessary, for the show covers more space than 35 (American) football fields. That’s a big space, folks.

The CES is always loaded with fantastic new electronics, all displayed beautifully in trade show booths and kiosks, many of these from Godfrey Group. If you are attending CES with specific products or companies in mind, look above the crowd for overhead banners and hanging headers; those are always an easy way to find something specific in a large area.

Setting Up Your Trade Show Display: Be Ready!

If at all possible, try to have AT LEAST two people in your kiosk or booth at all times, even while you’re setting up or taking down.  If a potential customer happens by, and you’re too busy to talk to him/her, you might have just kissed an actual customer goodbye!

showmax-open_model-02-9679With two or more people in the kiosk at all times, there will always be someone to answer questions and give out samples, etc, even if the show isn’t officially open yet.

Remember, however busy you might be with set-up or take-down, be sure to take the time to give your complete attention to people who want to talk to you about your service or product!

This is a good idea even when you’re officially open, for if one of you is busy with a customer, the other is free to take care of additional people who have questions.  If someone has to wait too long to get some attention, you’ve lost a sale.

How Big is Your Display Space?

Some of the standard sizes for trade show display spaces are 10 x 10 and 20 by 20, but there are some instances when a trade show booth might be an awkward size or it might need some special configuration.  There are some outdoor facilities that need to have some special design work.  We can certiainly help you with your special sizes, and with any special designs that need to be implemented.  Another situation where a trade show booth and exhibit may need some special attention is when companies are sharing space on a trade show floor.  What is the overall size fo the trade show booth area?  What is the size of the partnering company’s display?  What are your colors and their colors?  Perhaps some special attention is needed to be given for details like these so that your display or your exihibit area stands out above the crowd.  Are there special needs that are required of the type of event that you are planning?
