The Perfect Gift For Your Trade Show Exhibit

Friday, November 19th, 2010

With Christmas just weeks away and those Black Friday deals leaking out to the public promising everything from $3 appliances to $60 video game consoles, it seems the entire country is in a shopping frenzy. Everywhere you look people are doing their best to find the perfect gift that will allow them to scratch another name off of their holiday shopping list. By the morning of Christmas every cousin, best friend, sister, brother, and aunt needs to have their own little item to let them know just how special they are to you, but what about your business?

Not the employees or suppliers that help you in the course of a day (though they deserve a special thank you as well), but specifically why not give the business that has stood by you all year long a special gift to let it know you care. It may sound like a silly thought but by giving the business you hold so dear a boost in the form of an add on exhibit extension, you might just get more back then the feeling that comes from giving.

Two exhibit extensions sure to increase your trade show sales

Literature Displays- Perfect for holding brochures, point of purchase items, contact sheets, or any number of other items, literature displays literally extend your trade show exhibit to other areas of the event or conference center. Available with any number of pockets, literature displays can be zig-zag shaped, S-shaped, multi-dimensional tower shaped, or can even include audio/video accessories!

Backlighting- Nothing turns the ordinary into the extraordinary like a simple set of accent lights. Easy to install, a little backlighting goes a long way in creating a display that pops off the fabric and into the minds of all that see it. Regardless of whether we are talking a free standing light box frame or a large format 48″x96″ aluminum framed work of art, some extra lighting might just be the light at the end of the tunnel you have been waiting for!

Briefcase Presentations Make Holiday Travel Easy!!!

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

It’s so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a little over a week away and then we are only a hop, skip, and a jump to Christmas and New Years. Bring on the twinkling lights, the turkey leftovers, the gift cards to all my favorite retail stores! The only thing I can do without are the long lines at the airport ticket counter and crowded freeways. If those in charge of predicting such things are right, this year will be even worse than last year. According to a recent article on this year’s holiday travel plans42.2 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. That would be an increase of more than 11% from last year, when 37.9 million people traveled during the 5-day holiday period…. This includes a projected increase of 3.5% in air travel “based on improvements in the airline industry and its recent increases in capacity.”

What this means is that for those of us who are working up to the holiday or immediately afterward, it’s going to be hard enough to get ourselves through the lines in one piece not to mention the problems transporting a large display would bring.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are responsible to give a presentation and are in need of an easy to assemble, easy to carry, high quality presentation system then maybe what you need is a Briefcase Presentation system from Godfrey. Check out these four distinct varieties!!!

*The Show Style Briefcase- Unfolds from a tiny 24″x12″ case to a large 48″x24″ presentation. Pictures, charts, graphs, whatever your needs are easily attached to the fabric panels

*Zip-up Desktop- More than a desk on the go, this is the perfect display for anyone that needs to deliver their message quickly without missing any details. Plus it folds into a convenient carrying case.

*SalesBrief Presenter – Featuring plenty of space to hold all of your visual aids plus extra room for literature storage this case is the display for anyone who needs to give a major presentation with little room.

*Sales Folder- Available in hinged panels of 2,3,4, or 12 this system is designed to give the simplest of presentations a quick and classy look with the help of a few visual aids.

A Custom Built Trade Show Display In Moments

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Wouldn’t be nice if picking out a trade show display was as easy as going through the line at a fast food restaurant? You drive up to the menu. The lady comes over the microphone and asks what you want. Not sure as to what you are in the mood for, you ask for a few moments to make a final decision. Maybe you would like a grand format fabric display with custom logos. It’s been awful cold outside lately, it might be nice to have a portable banner to sit out front and save you from having to pay someone to stand out there for you. You’ve got that fantastic video demo that really catches everyone’s attention, a custom kiosk with built in video/audio inserts would be perfect….finally you make your decision. “I’ll take the Spacestation pop-up with a pedestal and information booth on the side.” All that is left now is to drive forward and load everything in the back.

This may seem like a pipe dream, but believe it or not when you order from Godfrey the reality is that it’s not too far a stretch. When you click on the Godfrey Design Gallery the first thing you will notice is a menu to the left with several different design elements to choose from including:

*Counters, pedestals, and sampling stands

*Fabric structures & Fabric Graphics

*Video & Audio Displays

*Props & Games

*Green & Eco-Friendly Displays

Once you determined what size you want from choices such as inlay displays, island displays, table tops, or showroom & retail environments the next step is to figure out what size. Then it’s on to literally hundreds of options each giving you yet another idea at just what can be accomplished by Godfrey. A personal project manager is waiting to help you get started while a designer is eager to step you through the entire process including regular updates and pictures via email. Still not sure what you want? No problem as we are always willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly the display to fit your needs. How’s that for fast service?

Three Tips On Turning Window Shoppers Into Regular Customers

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Is there anything better than window shopping? Walking aimlessly through the mall with a hot pretzel in one hand and slurpee in the other looking at all those fantastic products the stores are trying to lure you in with at this time of year. If you are one of the million of window shoppers like myself there’s no better time to practice the craft as than the Christmas Holiday season. However for those retailers on the other side of the coin, there’s nothing harder than converting all those window shoppers to spontaneous buyers. Luckily there are a few easy tricks to help get those shoppers to send a little of their hard earned money your way.

 Free Samples

Who doesn’t love free samples? Whether it’s free pizza, free bagel bites, or a couple free spritzes of the latest perfume; free samples not only attract attention but the create sales by letting the customer “test” the product out without having to pay for it first. What better way to introduce a new item that by positioning a custom built kiosk or workstation in the front of your store featuring tons of counter space, your company’s logo all around, enough room to hold plenty of stock underneath.

Games And Prizes

The thing to remember about setting up a prize wheel or other game display is that when it comes to getting people in the mood to spend, you don’t have to give away the store. Extra discounts, T-Shirts, or promotional items are all relatively low cost yet give people plenty of incentive to play along in hopes of saving money.

 Window Banners

If free samples and games aren’t your company’s thing, then how about taking that front window and turning it into a work of art. With a few clever phrases, some amazing graphics, and a little help from the design professionals at the Godfrey Group a custom window banner can be created in no time that is sure to peak the curiosity of even the most standoffish of customers. Available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes the perfect look for your storefront is only a click away.

If you are looking for a way to turn those window shoppers into eager buyers, give Godfrey a call and let us put your store on the path to holiday success!

We’ve Got The Color To Fit Any Mood!

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

If you haven’t been looking out your window lately, I don’t blame you. All those beautiful yellows, browns, reds, and golds that signaled the change from one season to another are just about gone. Fall has fallen and what is left is nothing but gray skies and white snow. It’s enough to make the most cheerful among us feeling a little blue. Luckily there is a way to turn those frowns upside down and all it takes is a little change in atmosphere. According to David Johnson author of Color Psychology, colors play a significant role in how we feel about something. Below are some facts you might find surprising about several of the basic colors:

 Black- Signifies color, strength power

White- Gives off a sense of purity and innocence.

Red- Creates feelings of fun, intensity, heat, desire. Red is fast and gets people noticed

Purple- Feelings of wealth, luxury, and romance are all associated with this color

Brown- Nature is most often associated with this color which signifies earth, home, warmth.

For trade show vendors and retailers alike color psychology could be the key to higher sales. What colors do you see when picturing a trade show? The convention centers are always tan. Tan paint, tan carpet, tan furniture…all geared toward making you feel warm and at home during your stay. As a vendor though what you want is something that screams “Look at me! You are missing the time of your life by passing me by!” The same holds true for retailers who must find a way to lure consumers out of their warm cars, through the dark and dreary streets, and into their store. By adding brightly colored banners to your store front or trade show exhibit, you are helping to create as sense of joy, happiness, and an urgency to cash in on the latest deal before it’s too late.

When it comes to which color to fit the mood you want your customers in, thanks to Godfrey the sky is the limit. With over fifty different colors to choose from we are not only masters of the custom built trade show exhibit; we keep in you in the loop by sending updates and pictures every step of the way. If all you want to see at your next trade show event is the color green, get with Godfrey where we are always in the mood to help make you a success!

Forget Daylight Saving, Save Time With Amazing Pop-up Exhibits!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

November 7th is  little over a week away and that means it’s time to set those clocks back an hour as the end of Daylight Saving Time officially comes to a close. While an extra hour of sleep may sound like a dream come true to most, for those that barely have enough time to get everything done before the sun goes down as it is things are about to get that much harder. The idea behind the time change is that more daylight means less energy is required to light and heat houses. Since the sun rises later in November, December, January, and February the clocks must be adjusted back to account for the extra amounts of darkness in the morning. While the majority of the U.S. tries their best to get all their errands done and home before it gets too dark, Godfrey has found a way to keep time on your side by creating a pop-up display that is sure to save you precious hours.

The SpaceStation Portable Pop-up Exhibit System is more than just a easy to assemble display, it’s an exhibit that has the ability to appear as if it took hours to assemble.  Beginning with a foundation constructed of lightweight, heavy duty materials that spring to life in minutes and ending with 200 watt light fixtures, the SpaceStation Pop-up is especially designed to help you spend your time where it’s needed the most…promoting your product.

Available in two models Straightwall and Curvewall, these amazing pop-up displays have the ability to constantly change the way they look thanks to face panels that allow for instant reconfiguration. Each panel is covered from edge to edge in specially designed fabric  and feature no bulky magnets so that they create a seamless image when placed side by side. Plus with over 75 different colors to choose from there’s no limit to the custom designs that can be imprinted. A lifetime warranty and the included compact molded case only help to make the SpaceStation Pop-up even more a time saver.

If you’re a vendor who likes to take advantage of every moment, then this is one pop-up exhibit that is sure to help you save time and get to that next sale!

It’s Time To Change The Way You See Trade Show Exhibits!

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Last week we gave you a post about how Apple had turned itself into a giant buzz machine constantly generating tons of attention through the use of special events each featuring an air of mystery behind them as millions of consumers around the world debated on just what the electronics giant may offer next. Today we want to touch on Apple again by talking about how one band has taken the Apple iPhone and made a name for themselves by giving the public something they have never seen before….a concert using nothing but iPhone apps as instruments.

The band’s name is Atomic Tom and according to rumors on the web is appears the group got the idea of using their iPhones as instruments after their own were stolen several weeks back. In hopes of showing off their skills to the world, Atomic Tom hopped on a New York City subway car and produced a video of their song “Take Me Out” which has now garnered them over 1 million hits since it hit the web.  Essentially what Atomic Tom has done is taken something that each of us have in our possession at least some point of everyday the cellphone and found a way to make it new again by giving it a renew purpose.

The concept of changing the way people see everyday objects isn’t something new to Godfrey, since we’ve practically been doing that with trade show displays from the very start. Featuring state of the art custom graphics, ultra-light easy to transport materials and some of the most amazing designs to hit the marketplace in years, Godfrey is second to none in terms of what they can do for your next trade show exhibit. Just look at some of these amazing designs:

Video & Audio Displays-Large screen, small screen, plasma, LCD, or projection we have the perfect fit for your existing exhibit, retail environment, lobby, kiosk, information center, and showroom. Plus we offer stand alone components for those that want to start from scratch!

Fabric Display Structures- From pop ups to tensioned walls to montage displays to overhead banners, Godfrey is setting the standard for what can be done in terms of custom fabrics. Forum Modular Display- The most versatile trade show display on the market today, featuring push button connectors which allow for the one-inch aluminum tube frame members to fold down in an easy to ship case.

Forget about those other displays that have gotten so ordinary that they practically blend into the background. The next time you get ready to attend a trade show, give Godfrey a call and find out how you too can become one of the few that changes the way people see things.

Increase Your Holiday Sales With A Portable Kiosk!

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Believe it or not the holidays are just about here and for retailers that depend on these last three months to make up for the loses experienced during the last nine, it’s now or never. While hopes may be high for big sales, according to some forecasters the reality is that the economy has simply made it too tough for consumers who otherwise spend loads of cash on gifts. In a recent report from CNBCA record high 43 percent of American shoppers plan to spend less during the last quarter of the year than they did in 2009, while only 11.0 percent expect to spend more this Christmas” So what are smaller retailers supposed to do in order to get an edge this Christmas?  Simply put they have to go where the consumers are.

This year Toys R Us who in years past have themselves filed bankruptcy will be opening up 600 express stores in malls and retail outlets all across the country. These temporary stores are projected to hire some 10,000 employees and if all goes well many stores may stick around long after the holidays are over.  While the toy store giant may be larger than your average mom and pop store, the strategy they are employing is something that can be done by just about anyone.

Portable kiosks are easy to install, simple to transport, and could be the key to making this Christmas season the best yet. Godfrey has everything your company needs to get you to where the people are. Whether you prefer something elaborate such as a Grand Format Fabric Graphic Structure complete with fabric panels that are designed to define your space while reinforcing your brand or something more along the lines of an information display with optional video/audio features and custom pedestals, setting up a portable store front is easy. Featuring amazing graphics, custom logos, and a team of designers all focused on giving you the best display possible, Godfrey is your one stop shop for all your display needs. Plus don’t forget our display rental program which allows you to test out a display while saving you money!

Great Additions For Every Trade Show Exhibit

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

The great thing about Godfrey’s extensive variety of trade show displays and exhibits, is that no matter what you are in the market for we’ve got it covered. Whether it is a display that is quick and easy to assemble, an environmentally friendly exhibit, or something private such as a portable conference room, one look around our website and you’ll instantly see there’s no limit to the possibilities of what your next trade show exhibit could look like. But what if you already have a display that for the most part you are satisfied with? What if you purchased an exhibit before you heard about Godfrey and you haven’t gotten your money’s worth out of it yet? The color is still good, there’s no sign of any major wear or tare…basically it’s still a good display yet there are clearly a few extras missing that might help with the overall design. Thankfully Godfrey has the answers guaranteed to solve all the problems with your current display.

Counter Space and Storage Problems- Many are surprised at just what an extra pedestal or two will add to the overall layout of the exhibit. Not only do pedestals provide more counter space, but at a trade show where space is in high demand they can also be used to store extra inventory such as brochures or packaging. Plus they are perfect for helping to direct the flow of traffic into and around the exhibit.

Customized Headers and Banners- While we can’t do much about the lack of customization on an existing display, Godfrey does offer several styles of banners, signs, and hanging headers that can easily feature your company’s name and logo.

Additional Shelving- Information displays not only provide extra room to display brochures and other informational materials, they can also incorporate video and audio accessories which are sure to give your sales a boost.

Custom Flooring- A trade show exhibit should tie everything together. From the color of the walls to the use of graphics to what the company is trying to promote, all of these things should be reflected in the design of the exhibit. Flooring is just as important. Whether it be a red carpet, connecting, or even diamond plated tiles; a good looking floor cover is often the final piece of the puzzle in building a great looking exhibit.
