Godfrey’s New Designs: Out With The Old And In With The New!

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Have you ever been in a situation where no matter how hard you tried, how much work you put into something, the long hours, sleepless nights, no matter what you did things just didn’t turn out the way you wanted them to. As a business owner one of the hardest problems you will face is deciding when something is simply a bad idea and no matter how much more time or money you pump into it, it’s still not going to be a success. It could be a new line of products that you once felt sure would catch fire and make you a millionaire. It might be a design that you felt confident would attract attention to your retail store. It may even be a type of sales pitch that you just know will help you land those big clients if only you could get the timing or language down. Eventually though sooner or later you must come to the realization that a new path must be taken in order to achieve your financial goals.

Godfrey wants to be that light in the storm that you can turn to for advice on how to make things better for your struggling company. From the very moment you reach out to us online or contact us at 1-800-789-9394 you will be assigned a personal project manager. This isn’t simply some operator or salesman trying to offer you some random display, but instead what you will find is that you will be greeted by a trained designer who understands that before they can know what you want…you have to know what you want. What you’ve tried in the past, what the display will be used for, what type of portability is needed, what colors you prefer. The questions are endless and so is the commitment you will get by deciding to choose Godfrey.

Whether we are talking about pop-up displays that will go up so quick they will make your head spin, to grand format fabric structures designed to fit your every need, to the amazing Truss system that will help you tower over all your competitors at that next trade show event, the designs and ideas you will find by choosing Godfrey is as limitless as your imagination!

Creating Repeat Customers

Monday, November 29th, 2010

You’ve invested in the best looking high tech multi colored showroom you could find. You hired a quality staff that knows your product from top to bottom. Everywhere they turn consumers are hit in the face with your custom logo. High quality audio/video display….got it! Shelves full of merchandise ready to be purchased….done! The red carpet laid out to greet new visitors….complete. You’ve done all your research and feel that everything is in place to guarantee a steady flow of customers. Yet for some reason the doors only swing open a few times a day and never with a familiar face. While everything may look perfect inside the store, you’ve failed to do one thing and that’s build a relationship with your target market. We all know customers can be fickle sometimes and figuring out what makes them spend their hard earned cash is far from an exact science, but one thing is sure and that’s people are creatures of habit. It may be hard to get them to visit for the first time, but if you play your cards right it hopefully won’t be the last time.

3 Tips To Getting Repeat Customers

Freebies/Discounts- One sure fire way to get people walking back through the door is to give them something of value that they can’t get anywhere else. Whether it’s a sample booth out front of the store offering free samples of your newest product, an extra 10% off their next purchase, the choice is yours as long as it leaves the customer feeling as if they got an inside deal that not everyone else can get.

Connecting To The Community- Another way to ensure return visits is to establish yourself in the community. Sponsor a charity drive, host a car wash for the local high school, the trick is to show that you care about those in your community by doing something that gives back to it.

Social Networking- Getting in touch with your target market where they spend most of their time is always a good idea. By creating a Facebook page and twitter feed for your store, you have the ability to connect not only with past customers but with their friends. The more they begin to read or take notice of your posts the more they will view you as a trusted source.

How to turn everyday into Black Friday!!

Friday, November 26th, 2010

It’s officially Black Friday and shoppers everywhere across the country are camping out in line for the hottest deals of the season. Neither rain, sleet, nor snow kept people in their beds this morning as they braved the early hours, endless lines, and hordes of people just itching to get their hands on that must have item of the year. According to those in the know, the history of Black Friday goes back over forty years; “The term “Black Friday” was coined in the 1960s to mark the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season. “Black” refers to stores moving from the “red” to the “black,” back when accounting records were kept by hand, and red ink indicated a loss, and black a profit. Ever since the start of the modern Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the Friday after Thanksgiving has been known as the unofficial start to a bustling holiday shopping season.”

While Black Friday is definitely worth battling the early hours and out of control crowds for consumers, for vendors fighting to get their attention everyday has the possibility of setting sales records thanks to 2 amazing displays.

TechForm Aluminum Extrusion Exhibit System

How many times have you found yourself walking out of the mall or towards the checkout line and suddenly locked in on a new gadget that will change your life. Some of the most sold items on the market are found near the exits as consumers simply can’t avoid last second spontaneous buys. The TechForm Exhibit System is built for just those types of items. Featuring Velcro receptive fabric panels, halogen arm lights, a four tier center shelving module, and two side wall extensions with built in racks made to hang products such as shirts, jackets, etc….the TechForm System is a sure bet for those looking to attract some major attention and capitalize on last minute spontaneous shoppers.

ShowTopper Panel System

For vendors wanting more of a showroom style design with tons of shelving space and room for additional options such as an information booth or audio/video display, the ShowTopper is the show stopper. Along with full color custom graphics featuring your company’s name and logo emblazoned all around, the 20′ version includes three 6 figure panel displays with top riser panels, five backlit headers, eight straight shelves, and eight wedge shelves!! Talk about room for inventory, this is the perfect design for vendors looking to put as much variety in front of the consumer as possible.

2011 Trade Show Trends!!

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

It may seem kinda silly to be talking about 2011 what with Thanksgiving being tomorrow and all, but the fact is the time to get ready for next year’s trade show is today. A great looking trade show display doesn’t happen overnight, but instead takes time in order to ensure that you are getting exactly what you need to set yourself apart from your competitor. At Godfrey from the very moment you contact a personal project manager a constant dialog is established which allows you to voice your opinion on color, design, style, accessories, and keeps you up to date every step of the way as the display or exhibit is created. The most important decision though is as old as time itself, “What do people want?” In hopes of shedding some light on this continuous dilemma, today we are going to take out the old crystal ball and tell you what we think will be the hottest trade show trends for 2011

*Value over price- It used to be that price was king, but these days with the economy picking up steam consumers are just as interested in the value they will receive by purchasing a product as they are by what they will have to pay for it. Grand fabric exhibits and custom built pop-ups will definitely help you get your point across, but the key for today’s consumer is letting them touch, feel, and taste your product first hand in order to convince them that you are offering a quality product.

*Social Media and the pressures of friendship- Forget phone calls and mail-outs, the trick to getting your target market’s attention is reaching them where they live and that’s on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. These are the places where we find out what our best friends and favorite celebrities are tripping over themselves to get to; where our favorite restaurants are offering special promotions for following along on their sites. At your next event make sure to add a couple of spaces to that ledger you have set up at your information booth to include ways to reach them via social networking sites and email

*Meeting expectations- With so many products flooding the market, in order to separate yourself from the competition one of the most important things that have to be done is you have to meet the expectations of your customers. Not only does every bell and whistle need to be laid out and easy to use, but they must be of high quality. This is where an audio/video display proves invaluable in that you have the ability to showcase every aspect of your product in a eye capturing format.

The Hottest Toys Of The Year Could Be Found At Your Next Trade Show!!!

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

You don’t have to be a little kid to know the terms Kinect, Playstation Move, or Sing-a-ma-jig. These are just a few of the hottest video game consoles and toys on the market this holiday season. Long gone are the days when it was only children that kept up with the latest in toys. These days everyone from teenagers to retirees are addicted to such gaming systems  as the Nintendo Wii. While every mom, pop, aunt, and uncle, are scrambling for this year’s must have gifts, it may not be a bad idea to think about picking up one or two yourself to use as a little extra incentive for consumers to visit you at that next trade show event.

Must have gifts make the perfect attention getters at any event. Imagine the following: a custom built trade show exhibit featuring full color overhead banners, fabric walls, enough shelving to hold tons of inventory, all of it covered in your company’s name and logo. An electronic information center sits near the entrance flashing a picture of this year’s got to have gaming system the Xbox Kinect the only system that does away with hand held controls and translates your movements into action on the screen and in large print “WIN YOUR VERY OWN XBOX KINECT!!!” A audio/video booth is set up to allow visitors to experience the thrill of the games first hand and in the back past all your merchandise is a small pedestal where guests can sign up to win by simply dropping their name and contact info into a fish bowl.

Promotions offering a chance for visitors to your exhibit a way to win big are great ways to get your company’s name out to the public and meet tons of people that might otherwise skip your booth. Essentially allowing that all important foot to get in the door, a prize such as this year’s hottest toy is a gateway to thousands of potential sales and in the long run may be the cheapest most profitable alternative to large marketing campaigns. Before you get ready to go to your next trade show event think about giving something back to the customer and thank about how Godfrey can turn help you turn any trade show into one for the record books!

A Custom Built Trade Show Display In Moments

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Wouldn’t be nice if picking out a trade show display was as easy as going through the line at a fast food restaurant? You drive up to the menu. The lady comes over the microphone and asks what you want. Not sure as to what you are in the mood for, you ask for a few moments to make a final decision. Maybe you would like a grand format fabric display with custom logos. It’s been awful cold outside lately, it might be nice to have a portable banner to sit out front and save you from having to pay someone to stand out there for you. You’ve got that fantastic video demo that really catches everyone’s attention, a custom kiosk with built in video/audio inserts would be perfect….finally you make your decision. “I’ll take the Spacestation pop-up with a pedestal and information booth on the side.” All that is left now is to drive forward and load everything in the back.

This may seem like a pipe dream, but believe it or not when you order from Godfrey the reality is that it’s not too far a stretch. When you click on the Godfrey Design Gallery the first thing you will notice is a menu to the left with several different design elements to choose from including:

*Counters, pedestals, and sampling stands

*Fabric structures & Fabric Graphics

*Video & Audio Displays

*Props & Games

*Green & Eco-Friendly Displays

Once you determined what size you want from choices such as inlay displays, island displays, table tops, or showroom & retail environments the next step is to figure out what size. Then it’s on to literally hundreds of options each giving you yet another idea at just what can be accomplished by Godfrey. A personal project manager is waiting to help you get started while a designer is eager to step you through the entire process including regular updates and pictures via email. Still not sure what you want? No problem as we are always willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly the display to fit your needs. How’s that for fast service?

Godfrey: The Only Clear Choice On Election Day!

Monday, November 1st, 2010
It appears that Election Day 2010 is fully upon us as millions of voters will go to the polls tomorrow and choose the leaders that will guide this country for into the coming years. With over 100 House seats and 37 governors up for election, 2010 has been witness to one of the most costly and hard fought political seasons in decades. According to a CNN/Opinion Research survey “A new national poll released Monday showed the number of Americans who say things are going badly in the country, at 75 percent, is higher than it has been on the eve of any mid-term election since the question was first asked in the mid-1970s.” Needless to say some very tough choices will made on Tuesday, thankfully when it comes to deciding the best company to help you promote your company Godfrey is the clear winner.

Outdoor Banner Stands

Regardless of whether we are talking about large format A-frame stands or flying banners that are guaranteed to catch everyone’s attention, Godfrey has exactly what you need to promote your business during the coming winter months. Featuring collapsible aluminum supports, dual sided graphics, and easy installation we have some of the best quality outdoor banners on the market today. Plus Godfrey now offers window banners for mall and retail outlets!

Pedestals, Kiosks, & Workstations

We have the ability to integrate your video message into a wide variety of displays. Not to mention we offer freestanding video and audio presentation packages proven to create a stir at any event. Tomorrow when you pull back the curtain and begin to pick your choice on who the next set of elected officials will be, remember that not every choice has to be so difficult and think about how easy promoting your company can be with a little bit of help from Godfrey!

Great Additions For Every Trade Show Exhibit

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

The great thing about Godfrey’s extensive variety of trade show displays and exhibits, is that no matter what you are in the market for we’ve got it covered. Whether it is a display that is quick and easy to assemble, an environmentally friendly exhibit, or something private such as a portable conference room, one look around our website and you’ll instantly see there’s no limit to the possibilities of what your next trade show exhibit could look like. But what if you already have a display that for the most part you are satisfied with? What if you purchased an exhibit before you heard about Godfrey and you haven’t gotten your money’s worth out of it yet? The color is still good, there’s no sign of any major wear or tare…basically it’s still a good display yet there are clearly a few extras missing that might help with the overall design. Thankfully Godfrey has the answers guaranteed to solve all the problems with your current display.

Counter Space and Storage Problems- Many are surprised at just what an extra pedestal or two will add to the overall layout of the exhibit. Not only do pedestals provide more counter space, but at a trade show where space is in high demand they can also be used to store extra inventory such as brochures or packaging. Plus they are perfect for helping to direct the flow of traffic into and around the exhibit.

Customized Headers and Banners- While we can’t do much about the lack of customization on an existing display, Godfrey does offer several styles of banners, signs, and hanging headers that can easily feature your company’s name and logo.

Additional Shelving- Information displays not only provide extra room to display brochures and other informational materials, they can also incorporate video and audio accessories which are sure to give your sales a boost.

Custom Flooring- A trade show exhibit should tie everything together. From the color of the walls to the use of graphics to what the company is trying to promote, all of these things should be reflected in the design of the exhibit. Flooring is just as important. Whether it be a red carpet, connecting, or even diamond plated tiles; a good looking floor cover is often the final piece of the puzzle in building a great looking exhibit.

Are You Passionate About Trade Shows?

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

I’m a huge college football fan. From where I’m from in Alabama the NFL is second compared to what happens on the gridiron all day Saturday. In the South you can always tell when a big game is about to start because the grocery stores are slammed as if 25 feet of snow was just predicted to hit over night. In seconds entire towns come to a halt as everyone runs in doors just in time for kickoff. As a fan I not only show my support by featuring the logo proudly on 95% of my wardrobe, but by passing the tradition down to my children. The point to all of this is that I’m extremely passionate about my love of Auburn football and college football in general.  Being passionate about what you are offering is a must have requirement for being successful especially if your business involves frequent visits to trade shows.

Like my passion for Auburn football, Godfrey is passionate about providing its customers with the best exhibits and signs possible. One way this can be seen is the constant contact which is maintained with the customer throughout the entire design process. Another way Godfrey’s passion can be seen is by simply taking a look at all the amazing displays they have to offer. Take the SpaceStation Portable Pop-Up Exhibit System for example. This isn’t some low quality bare minimum exhibit. The SpaceStation features:

  • Custom modification!
  • A lifetime warranty on frame and hardware!
  • An ultralight weight in compact molded case with wheels!
  • No bulky magnets to separate and add weight!
  • Fabric panels which are edge wrapped for seamless look!
  • No unsightly strips at top or bottom, no wasted area!
  • Your choice of more than 75 colors!
  • A 200 watt light fixtures included!
  • Plus we provide full color graphics and design.

In the dictionary passion is defined as an intense, driving, overmastering feeling of conviction. My passion of Auburn football can be seen through my clothes, the intense way I watch and debate each game, and by what I’m teaching my children. For Godfrey being passionate means putting their heart and soul into every design so that the next time you get ready to attend an event you bring along a display that is sure to astound all those that came up to your booth. If you are passionate about your company and want the world to know, click over to our design page and get on the path to creating a custom trade show display today!!!!

Sampler Stations Perfect For Any Trade Show Or Outdoor Event!

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

We started this week out talking about how the time to get ready for next spring and all of those highly anticipated outdoor events is now. Designing a quality outdoor display with tons of style that is custom made to your specifications takes time. While it may seem as simple as picking up the phone and placing an order, in actuality the design process at Godfrey is such that the customer is involved in every step of the process from start to finish. That’s why if you’re a company that makes the bulk of its sales traveling from one outdoor event to the next, the winter months are the perfect time of the year to get all the prep work out of the way so you can hit the road when the warm weather returns.

So far this week we’ve discussed Godfrey’s line of outdoor signs and banners, in addition to several styles of kiosks and tents all designed to make your display the center of attention at any event. Today we want to wrap things up by talking about our Instant Promo/Sampling Stations which may seem small but in fact make a huge impact.

Perfect for high traffic areas that offer little space, instant promo stands give you maximum exposure at a minimum cost.

 Key features include:

*Full color graphic wraps perfect for branding

*Optional Velcro receptive panels that can be changed instantly

*Tons of storage

*Counter Space perfect for offering samples or literature

*A customized canopy top

*Canvas tote bag for easy transport

Plus the instant promo station is also available in the uniquely shaped extra wide version with optional rounded header!

For vendors looking for something even smaller and easier on the budget, Godfrey now offers the Simple Sampler Economy Pedestal. Essentially a knock down plastic pedestal, the economy pedestal is made of aluminum header poles attached to a classic white fold up counter topped off with a custom header board.  In addition to this a full color graphic wrap for the base is also offered to help add to the custom look of the station.

If you are the market of the perfect outdoor display, the time to order is today!
